Comments are an integral part of any website, with active discussions being promoted in most cases. WordPress has a very simple, yet useful, solution to this.
However, there is one simple tweak that can make all the difference to the user experience.
“Leave a Reply” is the default title given to the conversation section of a post. This choice of words might not suit your site, so it is only logical that you should know how to change it. The process is rather straight forward, as outlined below.
- Navigate to your comments.php file
- Locate the string
<?php $comments_args = array(
- Paste the following directly after it
'title_reply' => __( 'YOUR STRING HERE' ),
This should result in something similar to this
<?php $comments_args = array( 'title_reply' => __( 'YOUR STRING HERE' ), ));?>
Depending on your theme layout, other statements can be added to the function, so this is simply one aspect of the comments file.
